LETTERBOXING

Letterboxing is a treasure hunt game for children ages 6 – 12 and their families. A letterbox is hidden somewhere inside the library. To find the letterbox you will be given a series of clues which will help you locate the box. You can obtain the clues by asking a Children’s Librarian or by going to the Nassau Library System’s website at http://www.nassaulibrary.org/letterboxing. Don’t forget you will need to bring a stamp and a notepad with you to the library. If you enjoy letterboxing you can visit the Nassau Library System’s website mentioned above to find other participating libraries in Nassau County and the official letterboxing website at http://www.letterboxing.org to find letterboxes around the globe. Happy Hunting!!!

ART SHOW

We are delighted to display the creativity of our “artists-in-residence” and hope patrons will take a moment or two to enjoy the artwork of the children from our community. The artwork of the students from Denton Avenue School will be on display during the month of January. Thank you to the students of St. Aidan School for the artwork displayed during the month of December.
