Get a Library Card
All residents (age 5 and older) of the Shelter Rock Public Library District may obtain (or renew) a library card by showing two current forms of identification. Each form of identification must show the same address located within the boundaries of the District. If you are unsure if your address is in the District, please call the Library (248-7363 and press 5 for the Circulation Department) or consult your tax bill.
The following forms of identification are acceptable:
One item from the following list:
1. Current / Valid NYS Driver’s License
2. Current / Valid NYS Non-Driver Photo ID
3. Current / Valid NYS Motor Vehicle Registration Card
4. Current / Valid NYS Motor Vehicle Insurance Card
5. Current / Valid NYS Learner’s Permit
6. Current / Valid Nassau County Leisure Pass
AND
One item from the following list:
1. Recent Utility Bill
2. Recent Tax Bill
3. Recent Credit Card Statement
4. Recent Bank Statement
5. Current tuition bill or college transcript with address
6. Current Lease Agreement for property in the Shelter Rock Public Library District.
