This starter collection includes popular series, manga, retold classics, comics, superheroes and personal accounts. We also subscribe to Anime Insider, a Japanese animation magazine which covers manga, TV and DVD anime, and Japanese culture. We welcome your suggestions for this collection which can be made by dropping a note in the suggestion box addressed to the YA librarian.

Currently maintained by Keane, ATN is an easy-to-navigate, searchable site that offers lists of recommended books arranged by topic.

Guys Read Jon Scieszka.

It's all about getting guys to read. Many of the selections lend themselves to reading aloud because they are fast paced, adventurous, and/or humorous. Not a read-aloud site per se, but worth checking out for ideas.
